A Forum for
Young Professionals

CONNECT. GROW. LEAD.

The Boston Associates Club provides ambitious, young professionals the opportunity to build their network and develop longstanding personal and business relationships with a diverse group of peers and mentors across a variety of industries. If you aspire to be a leader in your profession and community, this is a great place to start.

A Century of Connections

The Business Associates Club's origins date back nearly 100 years.

In 1923, Professor Durward E. Burchell, a well-regarded business engineer and former Harvard faculty member, gave a course on management methods to a handful of burgeoning young professionals identified by the Boston Chamber of Commerce as future leaders.

The group was so successful, it quickly outgrew its original structure and purpose.

By 1927, the organization was no longer a small, meeting group. It had built a broad membership base and began the tradition of inviting prominent outside speakers to its meetings. To ensure a level of intimacy and connection, though, the group determined it was best to limit membership to 100. The Business Associates Club, Boston, Massachusetts, adopted its current name in 1949.

Today, the club is a dynamic environment where younger businesspeople can network and learn.

Members gather monthly to connect and hear from nationally-known executives, educators, administrators, and politicians sharing how they got to where they are, the most important lessons they learned along the way, and the professional and personal challenges they faced –and overcame – to get there.

“The BAC is a special kind of club. I joined four years ago and love what the club stands for. It’s not about forced networking or sales pitches but about meaningful conversations and real relationships that extend well beyond the club meetings. I’m honored to serve as President and excited to build on the incredible momentum we’ve created. I look forward to welcoming many new faces and amazing speakers this year!"

"The BAC has been a staple in my calendar. Every year, I know that on the first Tuesday of every month from October until June, I'm going to go to the Union Club of Boston from 6pm to 8:30pm and meet interesting new people, catch up with acquaintances turned friends, and listen to an extremely interesting speaker. I wouldn't have it any other way." â€‹
